Torchlight Parade
Watch the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade, a Telluride tradition. Each year the team of skiers and snowboarders at Telluride Ski Resort take a run down Coonskin and Telluride Trail to Mountain Village carrying lit red torches. This iconic event ends with a fireworks display.
Holiday Concert Series
The Sheridan Opera House hosts an annual Holiday Concert Series that ends its run on New Year’s Eve. Each year the Holiday Concert Series brings in a selection of well-known musicians to perform during the week between Christmas and New Year's. Past performers include KT Tunstall, The Pretenders, Barenaked Ladies, and Hall and Oates.
New Year's Countdown on Main Street
Right before midnight head to Colorado Avenue to countdown to the new year at the San Miguel Courthouse. Once the clock strikes 12, celebrate the Telluride way with a fireworks show. Celebrate the new year along the stretch of Colorado Avenue between Aspen St. and Fir St. between 11:30 and 12:30.
